HAUL | THE BODY SHOP

Before learning about a recent 50% off sale at The Body Shop, the most experience I had with the brand was sneaking scoops of my sister's Body Butter when I was younger. After reading some reviews and hearing raves about their products, I decided to try things out for myself. The verdict? I'm impressed.

Being a new fan of oils, I was eager to try out one of the (many) Beautifying Oils that The Body Shop offers. Advertised for use on your skin, face, and hair, I think I'll limit it to my skin as it caused my hair to look a bit piecey.

It smells lovely, and I like using it after I get out of the shower. While it isn't actual coconut oil, I think this can hold me over before I make that purchase.

Look, Body Butters of my own! I got them in Coconut and Moroccan Rose.

Body Butters are meant to melt right into the skin, providing all day moisture. This stuff is thick, which I think is part of the reason why it took longer than expected to dry on my skin. Coconut leaves a lovely tropical scent, while Moroccan Rose is subtle and classy. I can see myself using Coconut during the day, and Moroccan Rose at night.

This has got to be my favorite item that I purchased: the Brazil Nut Body Scrub. Its creamy, moisturizing, and has an INCREDIBLE scent. It smells like dessert (and reminds you it isn't several times on the packaging). I almost feel bad raving about it, because its missing one important factor: it is seriously lacking in the exfoliation department. Very little scrubbing goes on when I use it. Regardless, it's love.

Tied for favorite item purchased is the Spa Wisdom Body Balm with Africa Shea Butter & Sesame.  It is basically a thicker version of the body butter, but felt lighter and dried much quicker on my skin. The smell is subtle, and perfect for when you feel like a bit of pampering. And can we get a look at that packaging? I can't wait to use it up and repurpose it for some DIY creations!

Final verdict? I'm impressed, but I don't see myself ever buying a product full price. I've started receiving e-mails from The Body Shop, and they seem to have some type of deal going on constantly. I am interested in their skin care, specifically the seaweed infused products and the Tea Tree Body Wash.

What are your favorite products from The Body Shop? Any insight on their skincare?
